Welcome to the announcement of the MacArthur Fellows for 2005.  This web site is solely for the use of professional journalists and all the information contained here is EMBARGOED until 12:01 A.M. EDT, Tuesday, September 20, 2005.

 

This site contains links to the announcement statement, a brief overview of this year's recipients, and more extensive biographical information on each (on the right hand side of most pages).  Each biography page includes a link at the bottom for downloading high resolution images.
